Someone with a current beef among the hip-hop community is none other than everyone’s favorite TV millionaire/book fan, Oprah Winfrey… or does she? Rappers such as Ludacris, 50 Cent, and Ice Cube have been vocal in recent months as saying that Winfrey doesn’t like to promote hip-hop artists via her many media outlets. But, at L.A. Reid’s recent birthday party, Winfrey has gone on record to try and reverse such criticism:

“I am a woman who has worked very hard for my status in the world and as a human being,” she added. “I don’t want to be marginalized by music or any form of art. … I feel rap is a form of expression, as is jazz. I’m not opposed to rap. I’m opposed to being marginalized as a woman.”
